What Fundação porque Ao vivo provides are additional services that are not included in the usual service portfolio of a public Pediatric Palliative Care unit.
It is the first comprehensive pediatric palliative care center in Spain. It was created in Madrid because the public health system here guarantees care for children with palliative needs and their families. The CAPPI will complement this care with additional resources for respite and socialization. It will become the first intermediate resource between conventional acute care hospital admissions and home hospitalization.
Rooms for children to receive respite from caregivers, a Day Center, an Integration Classroom, a Therapy Area, a Training Center for professionals, and end-of-life apartments.
